ABOUT US

In 1968, I returned to my hometown, El Paso, Texas, after serving my country in the U.S. Army. Growing up in a farming community, my intentions were to pursue a career in agriculture. During this time, I was in need of a truck and therefore purchased my first two-ton single axle dump truck.

I then began laying cotton seed for our local gin in Socorro. After the seed hauling, I hauled bales of alfalfa to local dairies. In the 1980’s, road construction gradually began and one job let to another. My first job was hauling construction rubble for J.D. Abrams as the Paisano overpass was demolished.

I continued hauling for J.D. Abrams which required me to expand on equipment. Soon, my fleet consisted of tractors, dump trailers, flat beds, and belly dumps. I began Phase I with J.D. Abrams from Zaragoza to West Lee Trevino and continued with Phase II.

Fulfilling my responsibilities led me to purchase more trucks and equipment which enabled me to respond to bigger commitments.

Blue Truck

In 1994, road construction picked up and the demand for more trucks grew and I then owned fourteen units and growing. Projects such as the American Canal, Rod & Gun Club in Fort Bliss, The Border American Fence , El Paso International Airport, The Santa Teresa Rail Yard have been just a few of my business accomplishments.

Two trucks soon became 30 and a family business flourished.

With two boys, one on each side, they followed me as they began to show interest. They tinkered with motors and moved trucks at the early age of 7.

Henry Trujillo Inc. is presently owned by myself and my wife, Margaret. It is managed by our eldest son, Henry Joseph Trujillo with the mechanics shop managed by our youngest son Patrick Henry Trujillo.
